Our Story

Incorporated in May of 2015, Electrum set out to position itself as an electric mobility solutions company.

Over the years, Electrum has established many strong partnerships such as Tesla, Porsche, Siemens, Nemetz, ABB and Phi-Hong. Electrum crossed the milestone of completing over 5,000 installations, earning trusted clients such as the Fraser Valley Health Authority (Richmond Hospital, St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver General Hospital, etc). The achievements have paved the way to civic installations for the city of Surrey, Vancouver, North Vancouver, and Burnaby. Electrum now has well over 6,000 charging stations deployed to date while expanding our client base.

Leadership

Dan Trudel, CEO/Founder

  • Founded Electrum in 2015 and diversified its product offerings in 2020 by building out a software team to develop a cloud based network management platform.
  • Prior to founding Electrum, Dan was involved in the design and launch of one of the first Level II chargers at Leviton.
  • Dan has extensive knowledge in the EV industry, both hardware and software, enabling him to oversee Electrum's growth.

Chris Lee, President

  • Through prior experience, Chris has developed many relationships across various industries allowing him to leverage those networks to develop Electrum's strategic partnerships.
  • An experienced corporate finance professional with international business experience in transactions across the technology, travel and hospitality, mining, and manufacturing industries, where he oversaw financial and strategic direction.
  • Previously Chris was a CFO at a mobile games advertising platform, where he oversaw the strategic direction, fund raising, and business development of the company.
